Concert Poster for Caetano Veloso

Design Specs: This was a art class project to design a concert poster for the Brazilian musician Caetano Veloso. Being fairly obscure, the subject was researched to learn more about his music and style. The assignment required the final 16" x 20" poster design to be assembled from colored paper in only four colors.

Results: Illustrator was used to lay out the design as it evolved since it was easy of make changes. This also helped prepare the final paper poster after the design was finalized. Caetano Veloso is a solo artist who plays acoustic guitar and sings in Portuguese. The spotlight, single chair, guitar, and the text with the slight exotic quality are all meant convey these characteristics of his music.
